Is it Friday yet? Who cares if it’s not. I am ready for a Watermelon Martini.
Start with 5 cups of cubed watermelon in a Vitamix blender. The sweeter the watermelon the better it will be. This is a healthier version of Watermelon Martinis.
Juice half a lime right into the blender.
Puree until done.
Add vodka to the blender and blend on the lowest setting just to stir it up.
Add ice to your shaker and pour some watermelon mix into the shaker. Put the lid on and then shake it like a Polaroid picture. Remember that song? Heeeyyyy Yaaaaa! My baby don’t mess around because she loves me so. And this I know for shooo….
Ok, I’m back. That song would be a great mood starter for Watermelon Martinis.
Pour it right into a martini glass. Add some garnish if you like.
This is what it took for about 4 servings:
1/2 Lime Juiced
5 Cups Cubed Watermelon puree
6 oz Vodka
In a blender puree 5 cups of watermelon and juice from half of a lime.
Add vodka and blend on low speed until mixed.
Add ice cubes to a shaker. Pour watermelon mix into shaker and shake it up. It it is not sweet enough you can always put add some agave or whatever sweetener you like. But I am happy with it just the way it is. Pour the watermelon martini into martini glasses. Add a slice of watermelon or a slice of lime on rim of martini glass for garnish.
