I really haven’t come across too many juice recipes made with cauliflower. So my curiosity got the best of me and I had to try it. I was really pleasantly surprised how great it tasted. I must give most of the credit to the apples though for giving this recipe its sweetness.
When you are new to juicing I always recommend making your juice with a sweet flavor. Then kick it up a notch by adding just one strand of kale to this recipe. Once your taste buds get used to drinking kale juice start adding two, then three. Before you know it you have added 4 strands of kale and are really feeling good about it. But first try it without the kale.
Cut up your apples so they fit into the chute of the juicer. Organic apples are best so you can leave the skin on. Otherwise peel the skin if not using organic apples. Cut up half a large head of cauliflower into pieces.
Feed the produce into your juicer. Today I am using the Hurom Slow Juicer. This juicer is quiet and clean up is a snap.
Juice is separated from the pulp.
Right down to the last drop.
The final result is almost 2 cups of pure goodness (shown without kale).
So refreshing that I guarantee you will be juicing more cauliflower from here on.
What It Took For One Serving:
Apple and Cauliflower Juice
- 3 Red Apples (I Used Gala)
- 1/2 Large Head Cauliflower
- 4 Stalks of Kale (Optional but highly recommended)
Wash the produce thoroughly. Cut up apples (discard seeds) and cauliflower to fit into juicer chute and juice away!
